Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to merge PDFs here?
Yes. All merging happens 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF files are never uploaded to any server. We never see or store your documents.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no hard limit. However, since processing is done in-browser, merging very large files (100MB+) may be slower on lower-end devices. For best performance, keep total input size under 50MB.
Are bookmarks and links preserved?
The merge process preserves page content, annotations, and form fields. Some complex bookmarks and cross-document links may not carry over.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Yes! If you upload an encrypted or password-protected PDF, the tool will securely prompt you for the password to unlock it locally before merging. The password is never stored or sent anywhere.
How many files can I merge at once?
There's no fixed limit on the number of files. You can merge dozens of PDFs in a single operation. Performance depends on your device and total file size.
